I like the trade, as long as this isn't the sum total of the Cavs' offseason frontcourt improvements. They still need a dynamic wing scorer/defender, and they need a better starting PF to go alongside Shaq. I still think that could be Sheed.

Much has been made of Shaq's age and declining mobility. But he's still 7'-1" and 325, and he's still going to command double-teams often. Which means the guys on the floor besides he and LBJ had better be really proficient at knocking down open J's. Boobie, I'm looking at you. Time to get your head out of your arse and return to '07 form.

Shaq is going to slow the Cavs' offense down, and it's not going to be as pretty to watch when he's out there. But the Cavs sans Shaq did a good job of fucking up their offense against the Magic. My feeling is that if it comes down to playing Orlando, Boston or L.A. in the playoffs/Finals, I'd rather have a fucked-up offense with Shaq in the post than a fucked-up offense with Z in the post.

The bucks trade of Jefferson makes Charlie V a tougher get. But I think he'd be beyond a perfect fit for this year and beyond.

I also fully expect Sheed to be a Cavalier next season, it makes too much sense.

Also, Windhort's twitter feed says that Gilbert is spending $$. Let's hope he's buying some draft picks.
