CAVALIERS NOTES:
- The Cavaliers out-rebounded the Nets 45 – 39 including 15-7 in offensive rebounds. In the Cavs nine playoff games, the Cavaliers have out-rebounded their opponents by an average of 8.4 rebounds per game.
- LeBron James scored 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out five assists. He has now scored at least 20 points in 21 of his 22 career playoff games.
- Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 16 points on 6-8 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Ilgauskas has averaged 15.2 points and 10.2 rebounds during the playoffs.
- Daniel Gibson scored a playoff career-high tying eight points on 3-7 shooting.
- The Cavaliers allowed only six points in the fourth quarter. The six points allowed marks the fewest points allowed in a quarter in the postseason by the Cavaliers in franchise history. The previous low was eight points (at New Jersey in the fourth quarter on 5/7/93).
(speaking of dumb official Cavalier stuff, why is the court raised at The Q? Did you see the play where LeBron hurt his ankle going for the lose ball? The players' bench and the court are two different heights. What the hell are they thinking? Are they trying to get people hurt? How is this a good idea?)

The court is raised at every NBA arena, I would think. At most multi-purpose arenas, the floor rests on the sub-flooring like a stage. The sub-flooring then rests on top of the ice surface.
It is kind of stupid that they wouldn't just extend the floor so that the players are sitting on the actual sideline instead of on the subflooring. But you know how the NBA likes it: Get spectators as close to the action as possible so they can charge as much as possible.
But I know its been raised for awhile, but always thought the drop off was after the scoring table (it was in Phoenix). When Kidd and LeBron hit the bench area they were on lower ground.

Wow! That's the kind of prime quality spin that we haven't seen since Butch and Carmen left town. All that's missing is:
"I'm a tellin' you what, the Cavs played their guts out."
It's so completely divorced from the reality of Game 5 that you can actually feel the smoke being blown up your ass.
I know, right?
Sure you could say it was a bad game, but Daniel Gibson did score his career playoff high!
AND the Cavs held the Nets to just 6 fourth quarter points!
Nevermind that they scored 6 points and lost by double digits...
