This is a steep price?

If were actually a realistic scenario, the Cavaliers would be stupid not to do this:
At some point, Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo will likely catch on to Bosh's objective and try to trade him.

As many fans realize, he would be a perfect candidate for the Cavs' front court, which needs an overhaul. He could move in at power forward next to center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. During crunch time, Bosh can shift over and play the "5" spot.

But before anyone gets too excited about the possibility, it's going to be extremely difficult to pry Bosh loose from the Raptors. The Cavs don't have a ton of assets.

In the best-case scenario, the Cavs could deal forward/center Anderson Varejao (in a sign-and-trade), guard Delonte West and contract fodder for Bosh. The Raptors might even want a draft pick.

That's a very steep price for a player who could become a free agent after one season.
Steep price? Really? A power forward with limited offensive game, an undersized shooting guard, contract fodder (Ben Wallace? Boobie?) and a late round draft pick? All for Chris fucking Bosh? Yes, please.

The Cavs would have LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Mo Williams. At that point you just plug in role players. And if he gets paired up with Mr. James, I doubt Bosh is going anywhere.

If that's what it takes to get Bosh, sign me up. At this point, if an opportunity arises to land a second star player, I'm all for it.

But if it takes Andy and Delonte, that does raise some interesting questions as to who provides big man depth, and who on Earth would start at SG for this team. I'm against Sasha on principle at this point. A rookie draft pick? Even if the Cavs trade up, that's still not the best idea.

Maybe Anthony Parker with the MLE? But if Ferry is forced to use the MLE on a SG, that takes away the chance to maybe land another big man with that money, like Sheed. (I am starting to really warm to the idea of Sheed in Cavs uniform for the right price after reading Windy's column on potential Cavs FA targets. Sheed has done well guarding Howard in his career.)

Like I said, just about any price is the right price for someone like Bosh, but it would create a whole other round of holes to fill.

Would pull the trigger immediately, then be sad for a long, long time that Delonte is gone.

yes, i would make that deal in a heartbeat. the last time that i checked, it takes a "big three" to win a title (boston - kg, pierce & ray-ray; san antonio - timmah, mr. longoria, manu) and so to put bosh with lebron and mo would certainly win us the title then. we can only hope.

oh by the way, why all the hate for sasha??? yes, he's not the most consistent player, but it's only because he's not been given consistent playing time. about the only time he did was in 2007 and look what happened??? the cavs went all the way to the finals and sasha was a big part of that. plus, lebron swears by sasha and he would know best since he has to go up against him in practice all the time.
