The fuck was that?

Wow. Losing the Wizards? Not good, but I can accept it. You can't win every game and the Wizards were all geared up. That's fine.

And even losing to Orlando, I can take it. It's at least understandable, the Magic are a really good team.

However

Being down by 40 points? No. Nuh-uh. Not acceptable. These last two games... Christ... The effort has been awful, the offense has been stagnant (I say we try more 3s!) and the defense was consistently late (I'm fairly certain that Rashard Lewis is still open).

Also, I think I know why Coach Mike let all five starters play the entire 3rd period, but I think it's stupid. I would've rather him just sub all five guys out at once. Just send in a completely new five. I'd rather just save their minutes. The game wasn't close, Orlando was getting everything they wanted and they were forcing the Cavs into tough shots at the other end.

However, I don't want to dwell on these two losses. Yes, they've been ugly as fuck, but it's just two games. It just happens to have occurred at the end of the season...

Ugh.

The only thing that bothers me about this game is if we end up playing the Magic. I seriously hope Celtics take care of them in the 2nd round (assuming we still get the 1 seed, which I think we will).

Yeah, they're a 3-point to team, blah, blah, blah. They present so many matchup problems that them relying on the 3 ball doesn't matter much.

the difference between this game and the last time the cavs beat the magic was the 3-point shooting of rashard lewis & the fact that dwight howard did not even take a single shot in the 4th quarter as the magic just kept firing up 3's and missing them. in that last game lewis was 0-for-8 from 3. this time around he was 5-of-7. meanwhile, "superman" didn't take a single shot in the 4th quarter again, but that's because he sat out the whole entire period after orlando had built up a 32-point lead after 3 quarters. 'nuff said.

Yea this is a horrible loss. But I don't have a problem with the Cavs getting humbled a little bit. Newsflash, ur not gonna win every game in the playoffs by 20 points, home or away. With a 13 game winning streak, and many of those wins coming with a "lets turn it on in the fourth" type of effort, its time to go back to the drawing board and fix some things, which probably wasn't going to happen if we squeaked out these two wins.

Ya, that whole West Coast trip was neat (comebacks!) but they were winning by the skin of their teeth. This 13 game streak was filled with bad first halfs, missed defensive assignments and LeBron pulling wins out of his ass.

Which is all cool and awesome. But not how they were going to win come playoff time.
