I'm sure this guy probably has no idea what he's talking about, but I really don't like seeing these 'reports' about the Browns.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: the only non-offensive lineman acceptable in the first round is Adrian Peterson. That's it. With the combination of Oakland and Detroit drafting ahead of the Browns, plus the glut of talent like JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Peterson, Joe Thomas and Calvin Johnson, the odds are good that the Browns will be able to land either Thomas or Peterson, especially if they're drafting third.

The only way we shouldn't take Joe Thomas is if JaMarcus Russell somehow drops to our slot.
even then... I dunno, I'd rather them not use the pick on a skill position player. They've needed to draft big bodies for awhile. Of course, Russell does look good.
You can win with a QB who is just okay (Ravens with Dilfer), but you can not win with crappy line play. Both offensive and defensive lines should be the focus. I agree that the only exception would be Peterson if they decide he is a game changing type of RB. Overall, I'd prefer to trade down. No one player will fix this mess.
My biggest worry is whether Crennel is taking calls from Weis. Weis is pushing Quinn hard as an early pick.
With weapons like Peterson, Edwards and Winslow plus halfway decent line play, the Brown won't need a stud QB back there, just someone competent.
